Telehealth, also known as a “virtual visit,” is a convenient way to consult with your child’s pediatrician through secure video conferencing, allowing your child to receive care from the doctor who knows their full history and has access to their medical chart—without leaving home. While not appropriate for all conditions, telehealth is often used to address common concerns such as rashes, pinkeye (without fever in children over two), colds, some fevers, allergies, mild croup, constipation, diarrhea or vomiting, and minor traumas like lacerations, abrasions, or bites.
